como sucedeu com os ibm PC originais o grande sucesso do SzKI foi
conseguido com o PROPER 16 que era um "clone" do ibm AT.
Foram construídos cerca de 2.300 exemplares do PROPER 16 os
quais foram vendidos a empresas Hungaras.
O SzKI concebeu, mais tarde, dois outros modelos de PCs: o M0-5X
e o M0-8X. Foram produzidos, na Hungria, entre 100 a 200 exemplares
destes computadores.
Em Março de 2011 recebemos um e-mail com origem na Hungria que alerta para algumas imprecisões contidas no texto redigido anteriormente (ano de 2001):

This page has false information about Proper-8 computer, because it was 8 bit Z80 computer with CP/M compatible operation system was called Propos-8.

A Proper-8 professional personal computer was developed by Szki Computer Coordination Institute (from 1985 Computer Researcher Institute and Innovation Center) and it was based on previous very popular M08X PC. (M08X was the first Hungarian personal computer.)

CPU: 8 bit Z80 compatible (80A CPU made in DDR)
Memory: max 320 Kbyte RAM (64 Kbyte on main board and 64-256 Kbyte on extension card, maximum 32 Kbyte ROM)
Storage: 1-4 pcs 360 Kbyte mini floppy drive
CRT: 12" monochrome 80/40 x25 line, graphic and alphanumeric mode
Keyboard: 77 keys, typewriter layout, function keys, buzzer, comfortable design
Interface: BSI, Centronics type (parallel) printer, CCITT V.24
Software: Propos-8 OS (CP/M compatible), Basic, Pascal, Fortran, C-language
Proper-16 was the clone of IBM-XT with Intel 8088 CPU. Proper-16/AT was the clone of IBM-AT with Intel 80286 CPU.
